Your text stays in your browser.

How textrepeat.net handles privacy: what we collect, what we don't, GDPR + CCPA rights, and how to opt out.

Effective date: May 1, 2026. This privacy policy explains how textrepeat.net collects, uses, and protects information.

Short version

  • The repeater tools run entirely in your browser. Your input text is never sent to our server.
  • We use Google Analytics 4 to count anonymous page views.
  • We display ads via Adsterra. Ads use cookies set by the ad network, not by us.
  • We do not use email or contact-form data for marketing.
  • We honor GDPR and CCPA rights — see sections below.

What we collect

1. Information you provide

The repeater tools accept text input. This input never leaves your browser. No keystroke logging, no upload, no remote processing. You can verify this in your browser's Network tab — when you type or click "Copy", no outbound request carries your text.

If you email us via the contact page, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this information solely to reply to you. We do not add you to any marketing list.

2. Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and understand which tools are most useful. Google Analytics sets a cookie (_ga) and collects: page URL, referrer URL, screen size, country (city-level for some users), browser type, and an anonymized device identifier. Google Analytics does NOT see your input text or generated output.

Server logs (handled by our hosting provider) record IP addresses for security and abuse-detection purposes. These logs are rotated and not used for tracking individual users.

3. Local storage

We use one localStorage key on your device: tr_theme (set to dark if you've toggled dark mode). This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Advertising

We display banner advertisements via the Adsterra network. Adsterra and its partners use cookies to serve and measure advertisements; these cookies are set by Adsterra's domain, not ours. To opt out of personalized advertising:

  • _ga, _ga_XXXX — Google Analytics, anonymous page-view counting, 2-year retention
  • Ad network cookies — set by Adsterra and its partners

You can clear cookies or block them entirely via your browser settings. Doing so will not affect the functionality of the repeater tools.

Your rights under GDPR (European Union)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:

  • Right to access: ask what personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure: ask us to delete your data
  • Right to restriction: ask us to limit how we process your data
  • Right to portability: receive your data in a portable format
  • Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Right to lodge a complaint: with your national data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@textrepeat.net. Because we collect very little personal data (essentially just email correspondence and anonymous analytics), most requests are simple to fulfill.

Your rights under CCPA (California)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act grants you these rights:

  • Right to know: what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
  • Right to delete: personal information we have collected
  • Right to opt-out: of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny you service or charge you more for exercising these rights

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy occasionally. The "Effective date" at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 30 days.
